Laubstar is the name built on experience and legacy in the trucking industry. Coined by Jakes Sebogodi, a loyal employee of over 23 years, Laubstar honours the legacy of Ben Laubscher, the father of Managing Director Reytjie Laubscher.
Ben Laubscher was known for his innovation and integrity in the trucking industry, serving as an inspiration to many in and around Lichtenburg. For Jakes, Laubscher could be compared to the essence of a star, insofar as a star did not compete with other, it offered ‘’light to others”. Thus, Jakes believed that the name ‘’Laubstar’’ would pay tribute to Ben Laubscher and, also, highlight the core values by which a trucking company could continue to conduct business, in and around the North-West and Northern Cape regions.
